Once our eyes are opened, we can't pretend we don't know what to do. God, who weighs our hearts and keeps our souls, knows what we know, and holds us responsible to act. Proverbs 24:12

Home for 6 Months

I got an email this evening from Heidi Garner, a very sweet friend who travelled to Ethiopia the same time we did to bring home her precious Hope. She reminded me that we have been home for 6 months with Hannah. (Thanks for the reminder, Heidi!! Miss you!)
Wow! It doesn't seem like it was 6 months ago that we were in Africa, but at the same time it feels like we've had our sweet Hannah with us forever!

I did it!!

I took the 30 day blogging challenge and somehow I accomplished blogging about something each day in November. Not sure if I'll manage it in December though. :)
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break. Can't believe tomorrow is December 1st and I haven't done any shopping. None at all!

Love this...

LEGACY OF AN ADOPTED CHILD

Once there were two women who never knew each other
One you do not remember, the other you call Mother
Two different lives shaped to make you one
One became your guiding star, the other became your sun.
The first one gave you life, and the second taught you to live it
The first gave you a need for love, the second was there to give it
One gave you a nationality, the other gave you a name
One gave you a talent, the other gave you aim
One gave you emotions, the other calmed your fears
One saw your first sweet smile, the other dried your tears
One made an adoption plan, that was all that she could do
The other prayed for a child, and God led her straight to you.
Now, which of these two women, Are you the product of?
Both, my darling, Both, Just two different types of love.

Hair Bows!!!

Does this sweet girl look like a little boy??? This was the outfit she was wearing when at least 3 people said "what a cute little boy". Okay...I know it's not pink but do boys wear fur on their jeans and sequin hearts on their shirts? :) Guess Hannah will be wearing hair bows from now on! :)

Dancing with the Stars, Anyone??

Okay...I am trying to do the 30 day blogging thing but I am struggling for topics on some days! So I really have nothing to post today but don't want to miss a day since I took the challenge. So...did anyone watch Dancing with the Stars?? I loved the finale! I was kind of hoping Kelly would win, but I love Donnie Osmond. Glad he took the prize!!
Tomorrow I will post some cute pics of Hannah or think of something wonderful to write. We will see...

10 Months!

Hannah is 10 months today!! She is crawling and pulling up on everything. She also loves to walk when we hold on to her hands. She wants to take off by herself so badly! She is doing great and we just adore her.

Hannah is not adapting very well to Church

We were sitting in Sunday School and the pager started buzzing after only about 10 minutes. Hannah was not happy and wanted out of the nursery. She does so well with daycare, so we're not sure what is going on with her at Church. Luckily, she does really well sitting with us in class and Church. Guess next week will be another round.

Hannah's Echocardiogram

We got good news this morning. Hannah's echocardiogram came back normal. Yeah!! We thought it probably would but it was good to hear "officially".
I'm looking forward to tomorrow night. We'll be going to the Queen of Sheba restaurant in Oklahoma City to eat Ethiopian food with a lot of other couples who have adopted from Ethiopia or who are in the process. I love going and I love the food!!!

Our Christmas Tree is Up!!!

Got our tree up the other night. I love putting it up early! Hannah loved the lights and the bead tinsel. She's still wondering about the Santa that sings while in the rocking chair. :)

Hannah's Best Friend

Our dog, Izzie, and Hannah are becoming great friends. If Hannah is on the floor, Izzie likes to be as close to her as she can. So cute. Hannah likes to share food with her too. :)

Hannah's echocardiogram

Thank you everyone for praying for Hannah. Her test went well. Although we won't have official results until Monday or Tuesday, the technician did tell me that she didn't see anything at all to worry about. And I made her say that twice!! So we are going with that! :)
Thanks again for your prayers!
