And whoever welcomes a little child like this in My name welcomes Me.
Matthew 18:5
Once our eyes are opened, we can't pretend we don't know what to do. God, who weighs our hearts and keeps our souls, knows what we know, and holds us responsible to act. Proverbs 24:12
Hannah is feeling better today. I think her ear infection is clearing up. She doesn't look sick in this picture, does she? I know...short post. This 30 day challenge is going to be hard!!
Hi everyone...I'd like to ask for prayer for Hannah. This is most likely nothing at all, but when we took her to her 9 month checkup this week the doctor heard a faint heart murmur. She said this can occur when a child is sick and Hannah has been sick with the flu and now has a double ear infection. But because we do not know any family medical history, the doctor wants us to have an echocardiogram just to be sure it's nothing. So we will do that on Friday, the 13th of this month. So please just keep Hannah in your prayers...I will let you know what we find out.
Everyone needs to take some time and watch this documentary. It's long but really worth it. Watch a little at a time if you have to. Whether you are a fan of Madonna or not, you will have to admit that she truly has a heart for the people of Africa.

Okay...I've seen this on a few blogs today so I'm going to give it a try. 30 posts in 30 days will be kind of hard for me and some of my posts will probably be very boring but I'm going to accept the challenge! :)
Joey turned 11 years old on the 18th. He's growing up way too fast for me! We ate at Ted's in Oklahoma City, our favorite Mexican restaurant. And his Grammy told the waitress it was his birthday...so fun to embarrass him. :) The boys carved pumpkins with our friends, the Alstons. They had a blast and did a great job all by themselves! Dayci had a little help from her mom. :)
Joey's pumpkin is, of course, the one throwing up.
Lots of fun...
Scary faces...
We went to Grammy's house yesterday and the boys decorated a Haunted Gingerbread House...a tradition. Hannah played on the table.
Yep you guessed it! Hannah is 9 months old today! She weighs 16 lbs, 12 oz. She tested positive for the flu on Monday but she is feeling great now. The flu sure didn't slow down her eating!! This girl loves her food...well...everything except carrots, sweet potatoes, and peas. I hope she starts liking veggies soon! She is still not crawling but she is really considering it. I am thinking it's just a matter of days until she's mobile. So it's about that time to baby proof our house again. No pics with this post...shocking, I know. :) I'll have some pics with the next post.
Trust in the Lord with all of your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all of your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
I am married to my high school sweetheart, Eddie. We have been married for 16 years. We have two boys, Joseph age 11 and Andrew age 9. We just recently adopted a sweet baby girl, Hannah, from Ethiopia. We are very excited to have her home!
