9 Months Waiting...

We have officially waited 9 months since our dossier was sent to Ethiopia...but who's counting. :)

Even Closer!!!!!!

We moved up again!!! This is an amazing feeling!! Looks like we are 4th in line for a girl and 1st for a boy!!! January has got to hold the record for # of referrals!!! Hope that becomes the trend!!! Notice all my explanation points!!! Yes, I am screaming with excitement!!! :)

We are so close...

We are growing closer and closer to seeing our baby for the first time. It is such a good feeling after such a long wait for us. When we started in the China program it was spring of 2005. We switched to Ethiopia in 2008. So this has been such a long journey for our family...especially for our two young boys.
According to the "unofficial waiting list" we are either 1st or 2nd in line for a boy and 5th in line for a girl. This is very, very exciting. I now carry my cell phone with me wherever I go just in case we get "THE CALL"!!!

Wow!! Two More Referrals

AWAA is going referral crazy this month! There were 2 boy referrals today. That puts us at about 7th in line overall. We have the same DTE (Dossier to Ethiopia) date as another couple so that's why we are "about" 7th in line. Things are moving smoothly for the new year. I cannot believe we will be getting our phonecall soon and seeing a picture of our baby for the first time. It is starting to feel so real...like it's really going to happen!!

More Referrals

AWAA posted that there were 10 referrals so far for January. Hopefully there will be more since it's still early in January. It looks like that moves us to the Top 10!!

2 More Referrals!

There were two more referrals this morning! One boy and one girl! Yeah!!!!!

Another referral!

Another boy referral rolled in late yesterday! So that makes 4 referrals so far for January!! Keep 'em coming!! I'm starting to get very anxious!

Three Referrals Today!

Good News! Referrals are starting to roll in! There were two girl referrals and one boy referral today. Congratulations to those families! That moves us up in line to about 6th for a girl and about 8th for a boy, unless there are mystery families. Either way, we are moving up in line and that is very exciting! Hopefully there will be more referrals this week!!
